great spot to refuel after a Western Spirit Bike
Trip
Fiesta Mexicana - A relatively
new restaurant on the Moab Scene. However, we were
excited to see it arrive, as no town can have too
much Mexican Food.
The restaurant is right on the main drag of Moab,
so if you are staying at any of the motels in town,
you can probably walk here. Fiesta Mexicana is big
and can handle a lot of hungry folks at once. There
is a nice patio out front if the weather is nice.
Most of the time you can be seated right away, even
if it is on a busy "high season" day.
This is important, especially if you are "shaky,
weak-knee" hungry after a great ride. We all
know the feeling.
The service is always great, and the staff always
greet their guests with a smile. The staff is efficient
as well. Many of them have been here since the opening
of the restaurant.
As far as the menu goes, it is large and has something
for everyone, even if you aren't a Mexican-Food
fanatic. But if you are here for the authentic stuff,
this is as good as it gets in Moab...which is pretty
darned good. The chips are warm, and you can tell
that they are fresh. The salsa is also delicious.
Menu items include all of the standards - Tacos,
Enchiladas, Rellenos, Burritos, as well as a variety
of different combination plates.
You'll probably be glad to know that there is also
a beer/wine service as well. If you haven't been
to Moab, you should know that the liquor laws here
are pretty conservative, and some restaurants don't
have much in the way of "spirits."
The portions are big, the service is fast and friendly,
and the restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated.
Bring your kids as there is plenty for them as well.
